Toothed, ovate to lanceolate, acute, doubly serrate leaves; highly branched inflorescence bearing 5-merous flowers in clusters; calyx swollen; narrowly tubular corolla ca. 1 cm long with short corolla lobes; 1 long-exserted style.

Cultivar and/or species variation

Cultivars differ little; flowers blue, purple, pink, and white.

Gypsophila, Limonium (Misty series)
